About TherapyStarting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is natural that you might have a mix of feelings about speaking to someone about your difficulties. At the heart of my practice is a relational and relaxed space for exploring your experiences, as we work together to gain insight into the root causes of your difficulties and move towards positive change. First StepIf you are considering therapy, I offer a 15 minute informal telephone call at no charge. Here we can discuss what it is you are looking for, and where agreed, arrange an initial in-person consultation for a time that suits.
Initial ConsultationThe initial consultation will provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of what has brought you therapy, to discuss your goals, and to see how we feel about working together. If we decide to continue, we can discuss the arrangements for ongoing sessions.
What services do you offer?I offer individual, in-person, once weekly psychodynamic therapy for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes and are not limited, meaning therapy can continue for as long as it is felt to be helpful.
Is therapy confidential?Yes. As a registered member of the BACP I adhere to strict ethical guidelines, the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018), and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring your privacy and confidentiality are maintained. Limits of confidentiality will be discussed upon contact.
